Visuals Attraction has upgraded the planetarium at the Sharjah Science Museum with a single projector display solution and a sophisticated, high-end visualisation system that empowers teachers and tutors to give beautifully immersive lessons on a huge range of STEAM-based topics.
Visuals Attraction first designed and commissioned the system inside the 7-meter dome theater with a seamless immersive display in 2016. After working closely with the client over several years and developing a solid relationship, the planetarium has upgraded with the very latest technologies for a smaller dome theater, with a focus on supporting the educational needs of schools and academic curriculum in the Middle East.
The new high tech fulldome immersive video playback system – complete with upgraded theater audio and lighting – delivers a flexible environment within which students can access curriculum-based STEAM topics in a fun, accessible and highly immersive space.
Visuals Attraction’s Falak Bright is the specialist planetarium solution behind the experience – featuring a single-channel projector system with a fish-eye lens for a realistic visual experience that is also highly affordable and easy-to-maintain.
The powerful scientific visualization system developed by Visuals Attraction shows students the latest data visualization topics ranging from real earth and environmental data, to astronomy, physics, human, and animal biology and DNA structures.
Eng. Wisam Al Mufti, Visuals Attraction CEO, explains, “Using a mix of existing applications and our own custom developments, we can import datasets from a wide range of sources so that children of all ages can learn about topics from the human anatomy, mathematics, 3D models and astronomy – all through the power of immersive, informal learning. It truly is a breath-taking experience that has been created specifically for schools and teaching groups.”
